IntoScience
Intervention description
IntoScience is a digital science resource for Key Stage 3 pupils. It aims to engage pupils in science learning through interactive activities, virtual experiments and digitally simulated real-world environments. Pupils are given their own customisable avatar, ‘research lab’, ‘observatory’ and access to dozens of unique 3D environments. Each activity includes a complete lesson guide for teachers, and curriculum links are also outlined for all activities. Teachers are also able to view real-time results, summon all pupils to an activity, and make use of worksheets and assessment tools offered within the resource. In addition, pupils can compete against each other in ‘The 3rd Degree’, a live multi-player science quiz in which pupils compete against each other to answer as many questions as possible, selecting their difficulty level and receiving more points for harder questions.
