Intervention description

Language for Learning is a joint health and education non-profit making project which provides training and resources to support all those working with children and young people with speech, language and communication needs. All courses are mapped on to the Speech, Language & Communication Framework (SLCF), and a participant handbook containing useful information and photocopiable materials to support strategy suggestions is supplied with each session. Language For Learning also produce resources which can be purchased and used to deliver the methods covered on the training courses.

Professional development/training

Based in Worcestershire, Language For Learning provide training for staff in early years settings and schools, and also train speech and language therapists to deliver training courses in their local area. Training is tailored to each key stage, and can be completed flexibly through a series of sessions.
