Intervention description
MindPlay Reading Fluency is a software-based diagnostic reading tool aimed at 6-17 year-olds with basic reading skills. It aims to improve reading skill and comprehension by providing visual discrimination practice while learning to read sight words and high frequency words. The software contains a library of over 600 stories, each of which takes the pupil 6 minutes or less to read. Having read a story, the pupil then answers 5-12 questions to assess their understanding of the text. Real-time reports on pupils' progress are available for teachers.
