Project X
Intervention description
Project X is a primary school reading programme comprising sets of books suitable for all pupils but designed with the aim of motivating boys and improving their attainment in reading. Many of the KS1 books are intended to act as a bridge between phonic practice and independent reading, and are designed to supplement the Letters and Sounds phonics programme. In addition to the books, which are aimed at pupils from Reception to Year 6. One part of the programme, Project X CODE, is aimed at struggling readers from years 2 to 4, and embeds synthetic phonics within a series of adventure books.

Interactive whiteboard software supporting Project X is available.
